Speakers

Richard L. Barrett, MSW, LMSW-ACP, CEAP: Mr. Barrett completed his undergraduate degree at Loyola and obtained his master’s degree in social work at St. Louis University, School of Social Service. Mr. Barrett is currently the manager of the City of Houston EAP.

Jeffrey P. Christie, LCSW, CEAP: Mr. Christie serves as the Global Manager of the Halliburton EAP. He has worked for the past 25 years in the field of chemical dependency and employee assistance.  He has provided EAP services for Conoco, Pennzoil and a large external EAP vendor.  He is a primary author of the book, Ethical Dilemmas in Workplace Counseling: A Case Book.

John Hyatt, LMSW, CEAP: Mr. Hyatt has a Master of Social Work degree from Denver University, Denver, CO. He has over 20 years experience in providing and managing EAP’s. Mr. Hyatt has written several publications concerning EAP and is currently the Director of MD Anderson Cancer Centers EAP.

Michael S. Klaybor, Ed.D., LPC, LMFT, LCDC, CHt, CEAP: Dr. Klaybor has been providing professional consulting services to help individuals, organizations and teams succeed for more that 15 years.  He has been coaching athletes and executives in the areas of communication, problem solving, visioning, mental rehearsal, stress management, relaxation and work/life balance.

Stephen Pierrel, Ph.D.: Dr. Pierrel is a Clinical Psychologist and Assistant Professor of Family and Community Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. He is also the Director of Psychological Services for the Houston Fire Department.
